Privacy Policy
Last updated:
At Little Chapters, we believe you should be able to capture memories with peace of mind. That's why we handle your data and photos with care.
Your photos and memories are private.
You decide what to share and with whom.
We only use your data to run Little Chapters and create your photo book.
What we collect
We only collect what's needed to make Little Chapters work: information you provide (such as your name and email address), photos, notes, and memories you add, and basic usage data to improve the app. We never sell your personal data.
How we use your data
We use your data to provide and operate the app, store and display your content, improve Little Chapters, and generate photo books when you choose to create one. When you create a photo book, a print-ready file (PDF) is generated based on your chapters. This file is used solely to produce your book and is not shared with third parties for any other purpose.
Storage & security
Your data is stored securely in a protected cloud environment. We use trusted technologies such as Cloudflare (image storage) and Supabase (database). We take appropriate measures to protect your data, including encryption and secure access controls.
Who can see your content
Your content is private by default. You decide if and when you want to share a chapter. When you do, a private link is generated that you can share with friends or family. You control how long this link stays active (for example, 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days). After that, the link expires and is no longer accessible.
Your rights
You remain in control of your data at all times. You can access and update your information, or delete your account. When you delete your account, your data and photos are permanently removed within 14 days. Single photos you delete are permanently removed after 30 days.
Third-party services
We work with trusted providers to run Little Chapters. They process data on our behalf and in line with applicable privacy laws (GDPR).
Google Photos
Little Chapters can access only the Google Photos items you explicitly select through the Google Photos Picker: the photos and videos themselves and their basic metadata (such as media type and creation date). We cannot see or browse the rest of your library. We use the selected items solely to import them into your timeline and photo books. If you order a printed book, the photos in it are shared with our print partner only to produce your order; beyond that, we never share, transfer or sell Google user data to third parties, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI/ML models. Imported items are stored in your private account on our hosting infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. They are kept until you delete them or delete your account, at which point they are removed from our systems. You can revoke Little Chapters' access at any time in your Google account's security settings. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children's privacy
Little Chapters is designed for parents. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children. Parents are in control of what is stored and shared.
Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are significant, we'll inform you via email or in the app.
